CITIC Guoan Mengguli Power Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (MGL) was established in 2002. Our main business is the R&D and production of lithium-ion secondary batteries and cathode materials for them. MGL is one of the first and biggest cathode material (LiCoO2) manufacturers in China, and has commercialized the LiMn2O4 cathode material which has better safety performance than LiCoO2.

Currently our total battery production capacity is 10,000,000Ah per year and after new production plant put into operation in 2007, our annual production capacity will be increased by nine times to 100,000,000Ah, the battery capacity will range from 2Ah to 100Ah.

In addition, MGL power batteries have been applied to the electric vehicles since 2003. Up to now, MGL has developed and tested its power batteries on various vehicles such as buses, tourism cars, golf cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Also, MGL is the power battery supplier for Electric Buses in the 2008 Olympics.
